Abstract

We combine two economic/political concepts to explain how U. S. crony corporatism is linked to the recent evidence of increased vertical integration in global value chains. (Mapping Global Value Chains, ECB Working Paper No. 1677, Koen de Backer, S. Miroudot, SSRN, 2014.).

We conclude that the enhanced connection of U. S. domiciled corporations to China reflects the power of corporations to bend public policy to their own selfish motives in the corrupt American political system.

This article is part of the unfinished new book we are writing titled, "The Metro Regional Entrepreneurial Alternative to New World Order Corporate Globalism: Economic Policy Advice For State and Local Elected Representatives on Implementing The Small Manufacturing Enterprise Economic Growth Model.

Keywords: global value chains, vertical integration of intermediate demand production, corporate cronyism, USCBA,
