Abstract

[Anthropocene, refers the impact of human action on the Planet, increasing the amount of uncertainty and magnitude
of risks we face. Given the uncertainty and unpredictability of some potential hazards turning into risks and disasters,
or even catastrophes, amplified by climate change, it is important to refer communities as adaptable to some
unexpected events. We are at a point of intersection of ethical, political, economic, technological development, and
social change dimensions, demanding responsibility, and accountability. It is the time of “real politics” with decisions
eminently about solidarity, a dimension both political and ethical. Solutions lie now in “science time”, as it involves
a set of scientific oriented solutions, in interaction with economics and politics, not dissociated from public opinion
in the design of solutions for local sustainable development strategies. A reflexive analysis, within the scope of the
so-called risk societies, and on resilience of local communities is carried out. Abstract Body]
