Abstract
In material science composite materials play a vital role. With the increase in application of composites extensively in the automobile and aerospace industry, researchers focused on bringing in newer composites. In the current work Graphene and E-glass fiber reinforced Copper based Metal Matrix composite has been investigated for its corrosion properties. Samples are prepared by stir casting with different weight fraction of Graphene and E-glass fiber which is reinforced with copper based composite material. Samples are machined as per ASTM standards and tested for corrosion properties. The samples were dipped in the solution of 1 Normality for the time durations of 24 hrs, 48 hrs, 72 hrs, and 96 hrs and found that the additions of equal percentage of reinforcement tends to the decrease in the corrosion rate and percentage variation leads to the increase in the corrosion rate with increase in the time exposure duration of the samples.
