Abstract
With the rise of AI tools and algorithms that can generate high-quality art with little to no human input, many worry that artists will be replaced by AI generators and that the creative industry will be mainly dominated by large technology companies. In this paper, I will discuss the ethics of AI art generators in the art industry and find an approach to resolve the issue of AI posing a threat to artists and their livelihoods. I will focus on artists' implementation of AI in their art creation process and evaluate its potential as a tool. The purpose of this research is to speculate on the discussion on the ethics of AI art generators in the art industry and find an approach to resolve the issue of AI posing a threat to artists and their livelihoods. I conducted a survey on 54 students and teachers of NIS Aktobe participating in the Google survey designed to determine their opinions towards the influence of AI generators on artists. The results of the interviews suggest that the whole industry is likely to be affected by AI, as the public comes to recognize machine-generated works, and that the work of skilled artists will be underestimated as a result. In addition, there seems to be an acknowledgment that AI can be a useful tool for artists, but there is also a debate about the nature and limits of AI-generated art. This research has contributed to a better understanding of the role that AI may play in the arts industry, and how artists can adapt to this evolving landscape.
