Abstract

In Case C-426/21 Ocilion, the CJEU expressed itself on two intricated aspects of the relationship between copyright law and Internet TV services, clarifying that de-duplication systems of copying of TV broadcasts do not fall within the scope of the private copy exception and that facilitating online retransmission does not amount to a communication to the public.
