This report describes a five-year process of reconciliation undertaken by the National Registry of Exonerations and the Innocence Project and the results of that reconciliation. It offers a more accurate accounting of the role of forensic science in DNA exoneration cases. This Report clarifies the record on the use of faulty forensic science in DNA exoneration cases.
