Study on the Influence Factors of the Bearing Characteristics of the Ship with an Integrated Glass Fiber Sandwich Composite Superstructure

Abstract
The research object of this paper is the ship model, which is obtained by scaling down the designed actual ship, and the integrated superstructure of this model is all composed of sandwich composite panels. Based on the composite sandwich panel theory, by using the static loading test of the four-point bending method, the article analyzes the magnitude and trend of the stress and deformation of the measuring points on the ship model under the hogging and sagging cases. Combining with the results of finite element numerical simulation, the complicated load-bearing characteristics of the integrated sandwich composite superstructure are explored by mutual verification with the experiments. The ultimate bearing capacity and failure area of the composite superstructure are analyzed by the finite element progressive damage method. Based on the validated calculation model, this paper further analyzes the influence of the thickness and orientation of fiber layer in skin, the structural materials of superstructure, the material types and layup thickness of stiffeners in superstructures, and the structural form with or without deck opening and transverse bulkheads on the bearing characteristics and mechanical properties of the integrated superstructure. The research in this article has obtained some valuable conclusions.
