Abstract

ChatGPT (and its brethren) erupted onto the scene last year and has been quite a disruptor throughout higher education. Like much new technology, it brings with it many benefits and many challenges. This article focusses on some early experiences with it, some attempts to learn how to use it, and how it may require changes to some of our assessment methodologies. I provide some suggestions on how some traditional assignments may need to be modified in order to adapt to its ubiquity.
