Private Universities Country-wise Such as Bangladesh: Success, Challenges and Ways of Marginalizing the Dilemmas

Abstract
It is evident that adding private universities has been playing increasingly significant role in imparting higher education country-wise where Bangladesh is no exception. Here the main objective of private universities is to meet the growing demand for higher education to create skilled manpower for the economic development of the country. At the same time, the ownerships of private university(s) are required to operate it under the provisions issued by the University Grand Commission (UGC). Since these are private universities, the operational hidden main goal is to generate profits just like any other business entity. These discrepancies in goals of establishing private universities are deteriorating qualities of private universities in multi-faucets in Bangladesh. However, there is no simple formula for creating a methodology of business & social service mentality for private universities. The various resources, also known as Akim’s Model, – emphasizing productivity, which may require Joint-appointment, used in this presentation can help to fill in some of the important parts of the analysis. But at the end, the most compelling case is one that is based on data that comes directly from the institution itself. So, it is essential to identify the view of the direct service receiver i.e., the students at the private university, which can be a direction for further study.
