Abstract
Making use of recycled plastic products for energy harvesting devices could rationally relieve the world from pollution of plastic wastes. Here, BaTiO3 (BT) nanoparticles filled nanocomposite fibers made from waste polystyrene was fabricated for TENGs. The TENG with optimized PS@BT NFs presented excellent output capability, the open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current and power density reach 800 V, 20 μA, and 9.75 W/m2 respectively. Furthermore, a wind energy harvester based on TENG was constructed, which can effectively convert environmental wind into electricity. This work has significant potential to alleviate energy consumption and white pollution to some extent.
