Abstract

Academic rankings, rooted in bibliometric indicators, have proliferated over the past few decades. Despite this trend, there have been scarce efforts to formulate rankings specifically for interdisciplinary and subdisciplinary areas. This paper introduces the Global Ranking of Expertise in Russia, focusing on organizations ranked by their contribution as a source of impactful knowledge about Russia. The ranking methodology is grounded in the quantity and impact of organizations' publications within a sample of 29,826 articles spanning the 1990-2020 period. The online platform enables users to select indicators, generate sorted lists of organizations, and delve into the detailed academic performance of each organization. Additionally, we present the results of an analysis of the 29,826 articles, offering a list of organizations based on both the quantity and impact of their publications.
