Abstract
This paper presents the synthesis of hexagonal lily-like cuprous oxide-platinum compound nanolilies (HCu2O-Pt NLs) and confirms their successful preparation using various characterisation methods. These nano-enzyme possess remarkable photothermal ability as the peroxidase, by irradiated with 808 nm near-infrared (NIR) laser, the nano-enzyme could trigger a rapid temperature increase to above 50 oC. Furthermore, HCu2O-Pt NLs nano-enzyme exhibited significantly enhanced Fenton catalytic activity for organic dye pollutant degradation compared to conventional photothermal catalysts, as demonstrated by Rhodamineb B (RhB) degradation experiments. Additionally, HCu2O-Pt NLs demonstrated good photothermal stability, reusability, and non-toxicity to the environment, thereby highlighting their potential application in wastewater treatment.
