The Effects of Digital Investment on Innovation Entrepreneurship: A Regional-Level Study

Abstract

Digital economy investment is one of the most important policies in many developed economies.This study empirically examines the impact mechanism of investment innovation activities on the entry and growth of innovative enterprises in the digital economy.This paper analyzes the economic data of 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China from 2011 to 2020 by the method of panel data fixed effect analysis.The research shows that the investment innovation activities of digital economy increase the entry of innovative enterprises. Intellectual property protection positively regulates this relationship.In addition,investment innovation in the digital economy also promotes the growth of innovative enterprises.These findings are important for pointing out the role of investment innovation in the digital economy in domestic spillovers,it is also important to discuss the attributes and development stages of enterprise activities when discussing digital investment spillovers.
