This study embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a visionary leader and relentless champion of human rights. It delves into various facets of Dr. Ambedkar’s profound influence on the human rights landscape. In the beginning, it set the stage for a detailed examination of Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring impact on human rights. It provides a foundational understanding of the concept and its evolution. Further, it offers a deep dive into Dr. Ambedkar’s pivotal movements aimed at securing human rights for marginalized communities of India, and highlights his remarkable contributions to women’s human rights, emphasizing equality and empowerment. Moreover, the study elucidates Dr. Ambedkar’s role in upholding human rights through the Indian Constitution, emphasizing the inclusion of fundamental rights and directive principles. Lastly, it explores how Buddhism served as a means to attain human rights and social justice, underlining its intimate connection with Dr. Ambedkar’s work.
