Abstract

Abstract: Hou侯 is a type of ancient Chinese title of nobility. By comparing with ancient Egyptian culture, it was found that the Swallow symbol representing feudal lords in ancient Egypt is highly similar to the oracle bone script of the Chinese character "Hou侯". The etymology and typology of both are consistent. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the pictographic prototype of the Chinese character Hou is the swallow. The common symbol on Liangzhu jade artifacts is the "Bird Standing on Platform". The bird of the symbol is not like an eagle, but rather like a swallow. This can serve as auxiliary evidence that the Liangzhu civilization is a branch of ancient Egyptian civilization.
