Ética y Finanzas de Empresa (Ethics and Corporate Finance)

Abstract

Spanish abstract: Esta monografía trata de la ética en las finanzas de empresa. Después de introducir el concepto de ética y su relación con las finanzas, se aborda la responsabilidad social del mercado financiero, así como la relación entre éste, la honestidad y el valor (con especial atención a la relación entre directivos y analistas financieros). Se muestra la importancia de la ética en la gestión financiera enumerando, además, los principios y códigos éticos. Por último, se aborda el riesgo reputacional de la empresa. El objetivo es mostrar que los comportamientos éticos en las finanzas ayudan en la creación de valor de la empresa.

English abstract: This monograph deals with ethics in corporate finance. After introducing the concept of ethics and its relationship with finance, the social responsibility of the financial market is addressed, as well as the relationship between it, honesty, and value (with special attention to the relationship between managers and financial analysts). The importance of ethics in financial management is shown, also listing the ethical principles and codes. Finally, the company's reputational risk is addressed. The objective is to show that ethical behaviors in finance help in the creation of company value.
