Abstract

This study seeks to explore the discrepancy between Jesus' red ink prophecies in Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30, and Luke 21:32, which assert that "this generation shall not pass" until all prophesied events are realized, and the prevalent beliefs regarding the anticipation of Jesus' return. The experiment, while not conducted under rigorous scientific scrutiny due to the author's philosophical background, serves as an initial inquiry into the psychological mechanisms underlying the cognitive dissonance engendered by these apparently unfulfilled prophecies. Although the experiment has inherent limitations, the author hopes that the findings will stimulate further scientific investigation through rigorous testing and procedural analysis.
