Abstract
One of the main responsibilities of an Educational institution is to instruct its academic community about Intellectual Property Rights issues particularly on copyright and plagiarism. Because these two issues can probably make academic communities to involve in academic misconduct resulting in low quality academic and research publications. Copyright is a legal aspect, while plagiarism is an ethical issue; however these two issues are frequently confused Plagiarism covers a wide spectrum of misconducts; therefore an act of plagiarism isn't always comparable to copyright infringement. Plagiarism and copyright infringement particularly in the present digital environment have deep implication on scholarly communities among the academia. The present paper highlights the literary issues of Intellectual Property Rights specifically on issues such as copyright and its infringement and Plagiarism.
