Abstract

Learning Latin terminology in all its variety, including legal terms, abbreviations and proverbial phrases, is a primary component of Latin studies for law students. The study of the terms is helped by doing grammar
exercises, including those that aim to teach students to independently construct terms on the basis of learned grammar patterns. This structure of the studies allows students to master terminology, as well as to acquire skills of forming their own vocabulary of scientific terms based on Latin word-formation patterns.

Keywords: Latin, Latin terminology of international law, Latin abbreviations, Latin proverbial phrases, legal discourse
