Abstract

This study was part-funded by the Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) and the Centre for Public Value at the UWA Business School. WACOSS prepared the survey instrument and collected data from self-selecting member organisations. The Centre for Public Value analysed the data collected and developed this report. The Centre for Public Value is a multi-disciplinary academic group focusing on developing research outcomes that are intended to support, enhance and reform Australia’s human services system. Our focus is intended to inform all parts of these systems including Not-for-profit and charitable organisations, policy makers, governments, and scholarly research. Such research outcomes are intended to be industry-ready—that is, they are tools and commentary that are based on high quality research while being focused on implementation and the identification of practical supports.
