Abstract

the HVOF spraying technology was used to prepared (AlCoCrFeNi)1-x(WC10Co4Cr)x  composite coatings with varying WC10Co4Cr content on 40CrMnMoA steel . The SEM, EDS, XRD and XPS were used to analyze the composite coatings' microstructure, phase structure and chemical valence states of wear scratches. A single point automatic digital microhardness tester measures the microhardness, nano-indenter measures nanohardness and elastic modulus, the tensile tester test bonding strength. the friction and wear testing machine was tested as the wear behaviors of the composite coatings. The results showed that the microstructure, microhardness, nanohardness and elastic modulus increased by the WC-10Co4Cr additions, which is attributed to the hard phase effects of WC. and the bonding strength decreases, the wear rates of (AlCoCrFeNi)1-x-(WC10Co4Cr)x composite coatings are decreased.
