Abstract
This study investigates the impact of sanctions imposed on Thailand's military government by the United States and the European Union on the country's agricultural trade. Using bilateral trade flow data of agricultural products at the HS-4 level, our analysis reveals a modest negative effect on Thailand's exports. Furthermore, we identify heterogeneous effects across Thailand's primary export crops, highlighting varying degrees of susceptibility to international sanctions. This research contributes to understanding the broader economic consequences of political sanctions on agricultural trade.
