Abstract
This paper presents stylized facts on intergenerational household finance for the United States and the euro area. Using multiple survey waves between 2010 and 2022, we highlight the significant differences in the magnitude, distribution, and trends of various financial variables across ages in the two regions. Policymakers must consider these intergenerational disparities when formulating equitable economic and environmental policies.
