Abstract
The objects of the study are the economies of the EAEU countries.
The purpose of the study is to assess the macroeconomic and sectoral consequences of the possible expansion of the EAEU, as well as the impact of the activities of international financial institutions on the development indicators of the EAEU countries and the possibility of joining new members.
The research method and methodology consist of: 1) using various economic models to quantify existing NTMs in the EAEU, with the aim of incorporating changes in NTMs into a computable general equilibrium model, calibrated on the basis of a database obtained by collecting and reconciling statistical data from conflicting sources; 2) using various methods of optimization theory to debug a computable general equilibrium model with NTM. 3) analysis of cases and projects of MFOs.
The results of the study presented in this interim report are as follows: 1) a review of the literature on existing approaches to assessing integration scenarios and the consequences of implementing MFO projects is provided, 2) an analysis of trade in goods and services between the EAEU countries and their main partners is carried out, which is necessary to interpret the results of the stage numerical modeling 3) analysis of existing MFO projects was carried out.
