Abstract
This perspective article explores foundational shifts required for the reformulation of Sustainable Development Goals post-2030. It critiques current metrics, advocating for comprehensive indicators encompassing emotional well-being, cultural diversity, and socio-philosophic fulfillment alongside economic growth. The article emphasizes integrating these non-material aspects into SDG frameworks to capture the full spectrum of societal health and human experience. Key recommendations include localized implementation of SDGs, leveraging indigenous knowledge, and fostering adaptable development models rooted in local realities and aspirations. The proposed multi-level governance structure prioritizes broad, universal principles cascading to localized goals, promoting community-led solutions. Additionally, the article advocates for a balanced education paradigm that values humanities and arts alongside STEM. Addressing structural inequities and fostering inclusivity are highlighted, urging deeper engagement with diverse communities' unique challenges.
