Quality Consistency Evaluation for Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
Abstract
The quality consistency of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube (SWCNT) powders was evaluated by means of the physical , cosine similarity and Euclidean distance. The 5 physical characteristics and 9 corresponding physical characteristic parameters were selected. The values of the above characteristic parameters were obtained through standard methods. The results indicated that the physical fingerprint, cosine similarity and Euclidean distance can effectively reflect the quality consistency of SWCNT powders. Moreover, the results of the three evaluation methods were consistent and could be mutually verified. Specifically, the physical fingerprint was straightforward and visually intuitive. The cosine similarity provided quantitative results within 0-1. And the Euclidean distance was reliable for evaluating samples with significant quality differences. Furthermore, the regularity among different physical characteristic parameters were analyzed through principal component analysis (PCA). The proposed method could provide a quantitative evaluation method of the intra-batch and inter-batch quality consistency of SWCNT powder.
