Highlights• A Wind power curves model that combine smoothness, efficiency, and high accuracy is developed• An air density-adjusted wind speed strategy is proposed• An alternative to full dataset modeling with first-order moments is presented• Comparative analysis of operational data from various wind farms to demonstrate the reliability of the developed models
