Abstract
Managing negative emotions is essential for maintaining mental and physical well-being. This paper provides a comparative analysis of three popular methods: the Sedona Method, Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), and Vipassana meditation, each offering distinct approaches to emotional regulation. The Sedona Method focuses on cognitive and emotional release through a series of introspective questions, making it accessible for those who prefer a mental approach. TRE emphasizes the physical release of stored trauma and stress through neurogenic tremors, benefiting individuals with somatic symptoms. Vipassana meditation integrates mindfulness and insight into the nature of emotions, offering a holistic approach that addresses both the mind and body. The paper explores the advantages and disadvantages of each method, suggesting that the choice of technique should depend on the individual's emotional needs, preferences, and ability to engage with the practice. This comparative analysis highlights the importance of tailoring emotional regulation strategies to individual circumstances, contributing to the broader discourse on effective methods for managing negative emotions.
