Abstract
Highlights● Scenedesmus obliquus accelerated the removal of 20 μmol/L TCP up to 97%.● The 96-h EC50 of TCP on Scenedesmus obliquus was 86.41 μmol/L.● The bioconcentration factor of TCP in Scenedesmus obliquus was 8.● The metabolic intermediates of TCP were generated through hydroxylation and ester bond breaking.● The presence of humic acid induced increased ROS production.
