Non-party Participation in Human Rights and Public Interest Litigation

Abstract

This paper examines non-party participation in civil litigation before Australian courts. This encompasses the roles of intervenors, amicus curiae and other non-party participants with reference to the jurisprudence developed by Australian courts, including the High Court, in respect of both trials and appeals.
