Abstract
This paper explores the integration of mindfulness practices into marine biodiversity conservation, highlighting the pressing need for innovative approaches to address the challenges facing our oceans. As marine ecosystems are increasingly threatened by climate change, pollution, and overfishing, fostering a deeper connection between individuals and their natural environment becomes crucial. The study investigates how mindfulness enhances environmental awareness and motivates pro-environmental behaviors, utilizing frameworks such as Attention Restoration Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior. By examining the emotional and cognitive connections formed through mindfulness, the research aims to identify effective strategies for engaging communities in conservation efforts. The findings underscore the importance of incorporating mindfulness into marine conservation initiatives and educational programs, ultimately promoting a sustainable future for marine biodiversity.
