Abstract
Ultra-high temperature ceramic modified C/C composite are mostly used in the key thermal structure parts of hypersonic vehicles. To further study the influence of rare earth components on the ablation properties, as well as explore the possibility of recycling key thermal structural components, this study used molten salt-assisted reactive infiltration to prepare the matrix and coating by the embedding method. The results showed that the samples with rare earth components present in both the matrix and coating have the best performance in the cyclic ablation test, which opens up the possibility for the recovery and reuse of thermal protection materials.
