Abstract

This exploration aims to provide technical guidance for the innovative structural design of high-performance liquid metal bearings. Currently, existing research on liquid metal bearings does not consider the bidirectional coupling of thermal and mechanical effects. Therefore, this paper establishes a complete multi-physical field coupling model for liquid metal bearings, incorporating heat transfer models, turbulence models, and structural field models. The study analyzes the mutual influence mechanism between bearing temperature distribution and working performance under different conditions, and the impact of external heat sources and bearing operating parameters on the thermo-mechanical performance of the bearings.This provides new insights for improving the performance and stability of liquid metal bearings.
