Abstract

This paper examines how different nations adapt their national security strategies to address global threats. The United Kingdom, as a great power, employs diplomacy and military interventions to safeguard its interests. Israel, as a middle power, takes a comprehensive approach that includes military action and cybersecurity. Singapore, a small power, focuses on multilateral cooperation and high technology. To interpret the behavior of these countries in international relations, the paper applies theories of realism, liberalism, and constructivism.

Keywords: national security, great powers, middle powers, small states, security strategies, theories of international relations, realism, liberalism, constructivism, influence on foreign policy
