Abstract

The recent past of catastrophic floods, hurricanes and blackouts show once again the urgent need to switch to a “green” (climate-protecting and independent) energy system. The article investigates the existing EU, Austrian and Cuban regulations focusing on renewable energies and energy efficiency. It identifies similarities, differences in the related legal systems and potentials for future law changes.
