Abstract

The SiC3D7050 interpenetrating phase composites was fabricated by infiltrating 7050 solution into SiC3D via pressureless infiltration method. The tribological properties of the SiC3D7050 were investigated using ball-on-disc wear test apparatus.the optimal synthesis parameters for SiC3D7050 were determined to be 850 ℃ for 2 h during the pressureless infiltration process,he significant reduction in the wear rate and the improved stability of th feriction coefficient (μ) of the SiC3D7050 .The specific wear rate increased slightly from 1.49×10-13 m3/(N×m) to 1.74×10-13 m3/(N×m) with increasing load from 20 N to 100 N, and the μ decreased from 0.27 to 0.19. The stress–strain behavior of the Si3N4 ball against SiC3D/7050 was calculated by the finite element calculation software Solidwork Simulation.
