Abstract

With the increased use of electric components, improved power theft, electric demand and poor Power factor maintenance. IoT based smart meter system is the one which actually handles and manages both power theft and power. Constant feedback on energy consumption is provided through the real-time LCD display, and the GSM module allows SMS communication to send notifications and alerts directly through text message to the service provider. The suggested system provides benefits including improved energy management, remote monitor and control, as well as timely notifications. A master device containing an IoT module, in this case the ESP 8266, that constantly updates the sensor readings into a database for analysis and monitoring purposes.
