Bildung durch immaterielles kulturelles Erbe [Education through Immaterial Cultural Heritage]

Abstract

German Abstract: In Deutschland schaffen Millionen Menschen vielfältige Formen des immateriellen kulturellen Erbes und mit ihnen wertvolle Praktiken lebendiger Kultur. Mit der Erweiterung des Kulturbegriffs in den achtziger Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts wurde diese kulturelle Produktivität immer mehr Menschen bewusst. Seither lassen sich unterscheiden ein Kulturbegriff im engeren Sinne, der der UNESCO-Konvention von 1972 zugrunde liegt, und ein Kulturbegriff im weiteren Sinne, der die Grundlage der UNESCO-Konvention von 2003 bildet. Heute wird betont, dass beide Kulturbegriffe mit ihren Formen ineinander verwoben sind. Daher ist es eher richtig, ihre Gemeinsamkeiten als ihre Unterschiede zu betonen. Beide Formen der Kultur schaffen eine gesellschaftliche und soziale Identität. Besonders der weitere Kulturbegriff hat eine erhebliche Bedeutung für die Erziehungs- und Bildungs-prozesse der nachwachsenden Generation. Sein Bildungswert wird bislang im Erziehungs- und Bildungssystem kaum gesehen. Ihn zu verdeutlichen, ist Ziel dieses Artikels.

English Abstract: In Germany, millions of people create a wide range of forms of intangible cultural heritage and, with it, valuable practices of living culture. With the broadening of the concept of culture in the 1980s, more and more people became aware of this cultural productivity. Since then, a distinction can be made between a narrow concept of culture, on which the 1972 UNESCO Convention is based, and a broad concept of culture, which forms the basis of the 2003 UNESCO Convention. Today, it is emphasized that both concepts of culture are interwoven in their forms. Therefore, it is more correct to emphasize their similarities than their differences. Both forms of culture create a societal and social identity. In particular, the broader concept of culture has a significant meaning for the educational and developmental processes of the next generation. Its educational value has hardly been seen in the educational and developmental system so far. The aim of this article is to clarify this.
