Abstract

This paper introduces the Transformative Digital Cultural Impact (TDCI) framework, a comprehensive approach to understanding and leveraging digital transformation in the cultural industry. TDCI shifts the focus from preservation-centric digital applications to fostering transformative cultural experiences that enhance individual well-being, social cohesion, and collective growth. Through a systematic review of existing literature and practical examples, the framework identifies six key domains—digital cultural cohesion, accessibility, literacy, policy, ecosystem, and self-development—as the foundation for maximizing the societal benefits of digital technologies. The paper highlights actionable insights for cultural organizations and policymakers to bridge the gap between functional digital use and experiential innovation, advocating for interdisciplinary collaboration and policy alignment to support inclusivity, resilience, and sustainability. By addressing these domains, TDCI provides a pathway for reimagining cultural engagement in a digitally connected world, offering strategies to enhance societal well-being and foster a shared cultural identity.
