Abstract
In this paper, a blind image watermarking method based on Redundant Discrete Wavelet Transform and Singular Value Decomposition (RDWT-SVD) is proposed. The watermark is iteratively encoded and cut into four sub-watermarks which are embedded in different sub-bands. The original image is processed by one layer of RDWT to obtain four sub-bands. Then the score of each block is calculated based on GLCM and sorted from high to low scores and the block with high score is selected to embed the watermark. The blocks with high scores usually have lower contrast and higher homogeneity, thus minimizing the visual impact on the image. Singular value decomposition (SVD) is performed on the blocks to complete the watermark embedding. The experimental results show that the algorithm is robust to common image processing attacks, especially geometric attacks such as local cropping, compared with existing algorithms, which verifies the effectiveness of the algorithm.
