Abstract

Since nature and culture are inseparably fused in the human body, the central, dynamic force of the Anthropocene that shapes the structures of our planet also finds concrete form in the human body. Thus, the exploration of the body makes an important contribution to the exploration of the Anthropocene. It is where micro, mezzo and macro perspectives unite, the individual and the universal overlap and a new understanding of the unitas multiplex of the planet becomes possible.

Keywords: human body, Anthropocene, evolution, hominization, historical anthropology
