Abstract

In the design of pile raft foundation, parameters such as pile distance, pile diameter, pile length and concrete raft slab thickness must be considered reasonably, which not only affects the project economy but also affects the safety of the project. The solution of these design parameter combinations has become an important part of the optimization design of pile raft foundation. Therefore, obtaining this set of design parameters has significant engineering practical value for the design of pile raft foundation. Based on the characteristics of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, using the material consumption of the piled raft foundation as the objective function, iteratively searched and solved to obtain the optimal combination of the four key design parameters of pile diameter, pile length, pile spacing, and raft thickness. The most economical amount of engineering materials can be obtained and can achieve better economic benefits. According to the optimization analysis results of PSO, this article indicates that using PSO to optimize the objective function established in engineering is a good design method.
