Abstract

This paper presented a comprehensive governance assessment framework for Bethany Christian Services, integrating biblical principles with global best practices in corporate Governance. The framework addressed key aspects such as board structure, stakeholder engagement, ethical leadership, transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance. The framework aimed to enhance accountability, improve stakeholder relationships, and ensure effective resource management by aligning the organization's vision and mission with its core values. The study began with a literature review that explored global corporate governance models and best practices, highlighting the importance of diverse and skilled board structures, transparent stakeholder engagement, and rigorous regulatory compliance. It also examined biblical principles relevant to Governance, such as stewardship, servant leadership, and ethical decision-making, and how they could be applied in a modern organizational context. The governance assessment framework was designed to evaluate and improve the governance structures, processes, and practices of Bethany Christian Services. It included criteria and metrics for assessing board diversity, stakeholder engagement, ethical leadership, transparency, and regulatory compliance. The application plan outlined how the framework would be implemented within the organization, emphasizing the involvement of church leaders in decision-making processes to enhance accountability and transparency. Anticipated outcomes of the framework included enhanced board diversity, improved stakeholder engagement, stronger ethical leadership, increased transparency, and better regulatory compliance. These outcomes were expected to contribute to the sustainable growth and development of Bethany Christian Services, ensuring its effectiveness in fulfilling its mission to serve vulnerable populations. This study underscored the importance of merging faith-based values with contemporary governance models to achieve holistic and impactful management.
