Abstract
This study seeks to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of green entre-preneurship encompassing twenty-two years, contributing valuable insights and sig-nificant advancements in the field. The VOSviewer software and R programming language were used to analyze 557 studies from 2002 to 2024. The study is catego-rized into two segments: a performance analysis and science mapping. The finding indicates that prior studies on green entrepreneurship lacked both synthesized results and the identification of significant themes. The present study emphasizes emerging themes, including entrepreneurial ecosystems, sustainable entrepreneurial ecosys-tems, green entrepreneurship orientation, green innovation and sustainable entre-preneurship, which provide potential avenues for future direction. Germany, United Kingdom, and China were identified as the most productive nations in frequency, while Germany, USA, and United Kingdom were the most cited nations. The emerging author keywords in terms of frequency in the study are sustainable entrepreneurship, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and green entrepreneurship. The prominent authors contributing to the study are Fighter K, Horisch J and Schaltegger S. The Prominent journals with the highest publication are the journal of cleaner production, business strategy and the environment, and international journal of entrepreneurial behaviour. Some academic institutions that have contributed to the literature on green entrepre-neurship are the University of Southampton and Wageningen followed by Leuphana University of Luneburg. This study will serve as a crucial tool for researchers across different disciplines to analyze the development of academic literature on a specific theme over time, with particular emphasis on green entrepreneurship. By employing a comprehensive and rigorous analytical approach, this study proposes a distinct perspective on the definition of green entrepreneurship.
