Abstract
In this study, an armor-like carbon sheet-coated carbon fiber (NSCF) with superior electromagnetic wave (EMW) performances was prepared through the waste wet wipes as raw materials with doping N and S atoms via melamine and sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate (DTC). The polarization centers formed by N/S heteroatoms enhanced the dipole loss capability of the material. The unique structure of the armored carbon sheet further increases the specific surface area of the material, optimizes the impedance matching, and improves the multiple reflectance and interfacial polarization of the wave absorber. Consequently, the prepared N/S armored carbon sheet-coated carbon fibers show excellent microwave absorption properties combined with thin thickness, light weight, effective absorption bandwidth up to 7.04 GHz and optimal reflection loss up to -50.81 dB. This work not only provides a method for preparing excellent electromagnetic wave absorbing materials, but also recycles and utilizes waste wet wipes, being environmentally friendly.
