Abstract

The goal of the paper is to identify particular patterns in the composition of macroinvertebrate population living in an open Italian coastal area. Among various statistical methods, Canonical Correspondence Analysis, a constrained version of Correspondence Analysis, is applied. The method is particularly suitable to define the link between the species and the environment by embedding the environmental data within the biotic analysis.
