Abstract

In recent years, international centers supporting research potential of the countries of the former Soviet Union increased in importance. Among such centers, the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) are distinguished by a large scale of their activities supporting the conversion of defense research potential of the former USSR republics.
