Abstract

With an estimated fifteen million people nationwide participating in fantasy sports games, the fantasy sports industry has grown into one of the greatest cultural phenomenons in modern day America. Despite adding excitement to the lives of sports fans, the fantasy sports craze raises a number of complex intellectual property law issues that are in need of examination. This Article provides an in-depth exploration of the legal doctrines of copyright and the right of publicity and how they should be applied in the context of fantasy sports.
