This case is a collection, over three semesters, of MBA students' favorite quotations or comments on the topic of leadership. The compilation includes comments from famous authors, business people, politicians, and the students themselves. It is intended to be used to stimulate thinking about leadership and to get students to ponder and formulate their own thoughts on leadership.needed

Over the course of a year and a half, first-year MBA students from three different sections were asked to bring their favorite quote or personal thought on the topic of leadership. Their responses are listed below. Some quoted famous people in history, while others gave their own opinions and definitions. We do not vouch for the accuracy of the quotes, as in most cases, we have not looked them up for verification but have taken the submissions as given by the students. If the reader finds misquotes or has additional information, we will be happy to make corrections. Where the source was known it is cited as submitted. If the students signed their submissions, their names are also listed in parentheses. No citation means the source was unknown.

Although the quality of the comments and quotations varies, each has a nugget for consideration. Perhaps you will find one or more that stimulates your thinking regarding your situation and activity as related to leadership.
