Abstract

This paper discusses the launch of Newsweek magazine that has never been edited and published in foreign languages outside the United States, and demonstrates that Newsweek Japanese version successfully entered into the highly competitive Japanese magazine market. What we must emphasize, in particular, is a fact that this has been carried out by marketing oriented staff with no experience of magazine business, which validates the effectiveness and impact of marketing concepts, principles and entrepreneurship.

Keywords: Entrepreneurship, Innovsation, Marketing principles, New product management, New business venture, Publication and publishing business.
